Sept 9 Orlando benefit for African artisans (Market Colors)

[Press Release]

We exist to provide craftsmen in Africa the opportunity to sell their handmade products to people around the world. By increasing the customer base for the craftsmen, they earn a sustainable income to support their families and live healthier lives. Some of the products we will have for sale are purses, wallets, jewelry, laptop cases, scarves, rugs, and coin purses, all handmade in Malawi and Kenya. We have a great video that further explains what we do and why we do it. You can view that video here: marketcolors.org/media.

We are having a benefit show at the new Redlight Redlight (opening in late August) in Orlando on September 9th, 2012. Four well-known Orlando bands will perform. This event will be the first time people will be able to see, touch, and buy our products. The cost of entry will be $5, and all proceeds will go back toward supporting the African craftsmen. Our goal is to raise both awareness and funding in order to help us best support them.
