Last week there was a menu change at Pinocchio Village Haus. Previously dominated by the meatball sub ($9), pepperoni pizza with salad ($10), or cheese pizza, the menu now has flatbreads - a fancy word for elongated pizzas, and boy do they taste much better.
There is a caprese flatbread for $10, or barbecued chicken (same price). The pepperoni flatbread costs $8.59, while the cheese flatbread is only $7.69
We tried the Caprese and the BBQ Chicken and loved both. There is a lot more flavor here than we saw with the previous pizzas, and in some cases the flavor is a bit more upscale, or at least more sophisticated. Those are real basil leaves on the top of the cheese, for instance, and it looks to be made with blocks of real cheese rather than the usual "crumble" stuff they sell at mass produced volume.
I didn't inquire about the methods, the means, or the ingredients. But I do know I'll be back. Those were GOOD! The portions were also sufficient. Color me impressed.
