One such element was the castle wall, meant to form a bookend with Cinderella Castle. Today, those walls have no colorful signs on them. But while everything was under construction, there WERE colorful shields put on the walls. They were gone by the time the land debuted, so someone must have thought better about them and just removed them.
As you can see, they were themed to the main characters to be found in the land: Snow White, Aurora, Belle, and Ariel.
Wait, Aurora?!
She was part of the original plans here in the Fantasy Forest (we were to help her celebrate her birthday in the forest cottage), but not the plans actually built. I wonder if the shields were part of the original castle wall designs as a result... and thus removed once someone realized it wouldn't fit.
