New bakery to open this fall in Epcot's France pavilion

Say goodbye to the long lines you're used to at the Boulangerie in France!

What's that you say? You've never been here? If so, you are missing out on some extremely fresh pastries and baked goods, and many of them are among the most reasonably priced food items at Walt Disney World!

Whether you know the bakery already or not, you've probably seen the lines stretching out the door, at pretty much every hour of the day. Sensing opportunity, the powers that be have hatched a plan to increase capacity, given so much demand.

Coming soon (October? March?) will be a new bakery, two stories tall. Last month a crane appeared behind the France pavilion, and it did its work quickly, since it's gone again. The shell of the new building is apparently already done. The new bakery will not be in the same location as the old one; it will be behind everything, and accessible from a new doorway cut into the wall of the current gift shop.

No one knows for sure, but the hope is that the current bakery will stay open until the new one is ready for business. The shop might close at some point for construction.
